APPELLATE BRIEFS

FIRST TIER APPELLATE MATERIALS:
(CIRCUIT APPELLATE DIVISION, DISTRICT COURTS OF APPEAL AND UNITED STATES COURT OF APPEALS FOR THE ELEVENTH CIRCUIT)
In order to investigate issues for direct appeal and prepare appellate briefs, lawghost generally requires a copy of the trial or hearing transcript and record  on appeal.
A civil appeal requires a copy of the order appealed, record index, motions and responses.  In an appeal of an order denying a motion for postconviction relief, the motion, state response, transcript of evidentiary hearing, if any, and court orders should suffice.
DISCRETIONARY REVIEW MATERIALS:
(FLORIDA SUPREME COURT & UNITED STATES SUPREME COURT)
Petitions for discretionary review in the Florida Supreme Court require copies of appellate briefs and lower court's opinion.  The record on appeal is less relevant as the reviewable portion of the lower court's order must be contained in the written opinion itself.
PETITION FOR EXTRAORDINARY WRIT MATERIALS:
(WRITS OF HABEAS CORPUS, MANDAMUS, PROHIBITION, CERTIORARI, QUO WARRANTO, ALL WRITS, OR APPELLATE-LEVEL STAYS)
Materials for an extraordinary writ vary, depending upon its target.  lawghost loves hidden constitutional or jurisdictional issues.

NOTE:
lawghost has realized favorable results in published appellate opinions which may be provided upon attorney-authorization
